This is quite possibly one of my favorite engagement shoots ever. Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that we shot it at the greatest place on earth, The University of Texas. And the weather was perfect. And the couple was awesome to work with. If you didnt go to the University of Texas then please dont try to understand our obsession with the tower, or getting your horns up. You wont get it. Just trust us, its a big deal. Rebecca and Phillip were so fun to photograph. They both have a very classy feel about them and are so sweet and genuine when they interact with each other. I cant wait for their wedding next spring at Nature’s Point! Here are a few favorites from their session. To view more of my work, visit www.carleajphotography.com

Amy and Tim love the outdoors, so we met up at Zilker Park with this sweet tandem bicycle! I cant wait for their wedding at Barr Mansion in June.

Now that the wedding is over, I can post a few of my favorites from Brandi’s bridal session at Vintage Villas. Let me start by saying it was THIRTY EIGHT degrees with TWENTY FIVE mile an hour winds when we shot these. What a trooper! She didnt even complain as I shivered and whined about the cold. She looked gorgeous. I cant wait to post her amazing wedding later this week but for now here are a few faves:

Ava and Ella are the PRECIOUS daughters of one of my favorite people, Adrienne.  Adrienne did my makeup for my wedding and owns a fantastic company called Makeup By Adrienne. I am pretty much obsessed with her and recommend her to all of my clients. If you are getting married or even having portraits done in the Austin area, you would be silly not to call Adrienne. Adrienne also did Avery’s makeup for her senior shoot. (See Avery below)

Anyways, back to Adrienne’s gorgeous daughters. I had so much fun shooting them! Beautiful day, beautiful girls! Also, please let this shoot be a lesson in my number one preaching: “WEAR BRIGHT COLORS!” Don’t the pink and blue just pop?! They make the whole shot more fun and vivid. Not that they wouldnt still look precious but imagine this same session in jeans and white tshirts. BORING. Ive said it a hundred times and here is proof.  Bright colors rock my world. And yours too. And you will thank me if you wear them. That is all.

Here are a few favorites of Ava and Ella:

Avery is a Senior at Bowie High School in Austin. I had a BLAST with her and her totally cool mom at her shoot. Clearly this is the start of a very promising future in modeling. I mean look how she rocks the serious face! Here are a few favorites from her shoot. To view the full gallery, visit www.carleajphotography.com.

Maci is a Senior at Dripping Springs High School. She graduates this May and is headed to Texas State University. We had a great time shooting her portraits out in Dripping Springs. She was a real trooper, even when I made her climb through a jungle and wade through freezing river water, haha.

Here are a few favorites from her session:

Meet my cousin Michelle. Isn’t she gorgeous? Michelle is graduating from UT this May with a degree in Engineering (brainiac) and wanted some “horns up” photos to include in her graduation announcements. Thanks for a fabulous time cous!

Patricia and Sebastian were so much fun to photograph! They are the type of people who could have a conversation with anyone and you can really tell they were having a good time. I cant wait for their wedding at George Ranch in June! Here are a few favorites from their session:

I got to hang out with Lauren and Cody a few weeks ago out in Dripping Springs. Im pretty sure Cody is the cutest little boy in the entire world. What do you think?

A few weeks ago I got to photograph Lyndsey and Shawn’s wedding at Safari Texas. They had a beautiful outdoor ceremony at sunset. It was very touching to watch both families and their complete joy for the event. Thank you Lyndsey and Shawn for letting me be a part of your special day. Here are a few favorites.
